Behind the Numbers Event Recap – 8th of July 2026

Our Behind the Numbers workshop brought together a room of ambitious women, founders, and business owners for an afternoon dedicated to building stronger businesses through practical knowledge, honest conversations, and meaningful connection.

Hosted by Her Seat in collaboration with Unhinged Business World, the workshop was designed around a simple belief: confidence in business comes from understanding both how you communicate your value and how you manage the numbers behind it.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees explored two of the most important skills every business owner needs to master, pitching with confidence and building financial clarity. Rather than focusing on theory, every session was practical, actionable, and immediately applicable to the businesses women are building today.

Together, we unpacked what it really takes to confidently present your business to retailers, investors, and clients, while also learning how to communicate value in a way that creates genuine opportunities for growth.

The finance session challenged many of the assumptions women often carry around pricing, profitability, and cash flow. From product margins and hidden business costs to service pricing and sustainable revenue, the conversations provided practical frameworks that attendees could immediately apply within their own businesses.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was hearing the thoughtful questions, shared experiences, and honest reflections from women at every stage of business. The room became a space where learning happened not only through the workshop itself, but through the conversations shared around the tables.

Guided by Thu Nguyen and Kylie, attendees left with practical tools, renewed confidence, and a clearer understanding of how to build businesses that are both profitable and sustainable.

More than anything, Behind the Numbers reminded us that successful businesses aren't built by guessing, they're built through clarity, confidence, and the willingness to keep learning.
