Her Seat is built on trust, generosity, and mutual respect. By joining the community, you agree to uphold the following principles in all interactions, both online and in person.

Our shared values

Her Seat is a space where collaboration matters more than competition. Members are expected to contribute with integrity, openness, and care for the wider community.

Respect and presence

• Treat all members with respect, professionalism, and consideration
• Honour different perspectives, backgrounds, and stages of business
• Listen as generously as you speak
• Respect time, boundaries, and commitments

No pitching or solicitation

• Her Seat is not a sales, pitching, or referral group
• Unsolicited selling, pressure tactics, or self-promotion are not permitted
• Opportunities may arise naturally, but they are never expected or owed

Confidentiality and trust

• What is shared within Her Seat stays within Her Seat
• Do not share personal stories, business information, or conversations without explicit permission
• Protect the privacy and safety of fellow members at all times

Generosity and contribution

• Come willing to give as much as you receive
• Share insights, experience, and support thoughtfully
• Engage with curiosity, not comparison

Accountability and reliability

• Show up to agreed meetings, sessions, and events
• Communicate early if you need to reschedule or step back
• Repeated no-shows or disengagement may result in membership review

Safety and boundaries

• First meetings must take place in public venues where applicable
• Respect personal and professional boundaries at all times
• Any behaviour that makes another member feel unsafe is not tolerated

Expertise and advice

• Members share personal experience, not professional advice
• Always exercise your own judgment and seek independent advice when needed
• Her Seat does not endorse or guarantee advice shared by members

Breaches of conduct

Her Seat reserves the right to pause, suspend, or terminate membership if behaviour is inconsistent with these values. This may occur without refund to protect the integrity of the community.

Our commitment

We are committed to maintaining a space that feels grounded, respectful, and expansive. This Code of Conduct exists to protect the quality of the room and the women within it.
