Behind Closed Doors - The private realities of women who lead
Behind Closed Doors is an intimate, in-person conversation created for women who lead in their own businesses and are ready to step beyond surface-level dialogue.
This is a room designed to explore the realities of leadership and ownership that rarely make it into public spaces or polished narratives. Across the afternoon, the conversation will explore what leadership really demands behind closed doors. What happens when access changes and boundaries become necessary. How staying in execution mode or being constantly “on” starts to take a toll. Why comparison often gets louder as visibility increases. And how clarity, restraint, and presence become essential as women step into greater authority.
The conversation is guided by two respected voices who work closely with women navigating these exact realities.
Mel Yu is a Fractional Head of Brand working with established businesses and leadership teams as they scale. She brings a sharp, practical lens to brand, positioning, and authority, particularly during periods of growth when visibility increases and decisions carry more weight. Mel speaks to what leaders are navigating behind the scenes as brand confidence outpaces internal clarity, and why restraint, positioning, and access become critical as businesses mature.
Lauren Dry works with high-performing women on nervous system regulation, boundaries, and relational patterns under pressure. Her work focuses on how leadership, responsibility, and ambition live in the body, shaping decision making, connection, and emotional capacity. Lauren brings language to the internal realities of leadership that are deeply felt, rarely named, and often carried alone.
Together, they explore leadership as it is actually lived, not how it is presented.
The afternoon also includes a catered long table lunch, intentionally designed to allow space for reflection, integration, and continued conversation beyond the stage.
This experience is intentionally designed to challenge. It is for women who lead with an open heart, who are willing to sit with discomfort, and who see honest conversation as a catalyst for growth. This is not a passive afternoon. If you are ready to engage deeply, reflect openly, and be stretched in how you lead and show up, take your seat.
